Nun vi povas spekti en Esperanto kinoversion de la klasika rusa komedio de Nikolaj Gogol. Kion do eblas pri la filmo kaj pri la teatraĵo mem?… Ĉi tie onin atendas evidenta obstaklo; estas konate, kian sorton kutime havas klasikaj libroj - oni studas ilin en lernejo, mencias ilin kun respekto, citas konatajn frazojn - sed oni ne emas legi ilin refoje. Tial, kiam oni volas paroli ion freŝan pri klasikaĵo, tio montriĝas ne facila.
Tamen, mi povas diri, ke kiam mi denove legis la Esperantan tradukon de “La Revizoro”, pretigante la subtitolojn, mi ekvidis, ke ĝi tute ne malaktualiĝis dum pli, ol cent kvindek jaroj! Al praktike ĉiu detalo de la komedio oni povas trovi analogion en la nuntempa rusia realeco. Ĉu tio estas bona, aŭ ne? De unu flanko, tio atestas, ke ni ne solvis ĝis nun la problemojn, kiuj estis gravaj ankoraŭ en la tempo de Gogol. Aliflanke, espereblas, ke Gogol helpos al ni solvi ilin, ĉar li daŭras resti aktuala hodiaŭ, same kiel li estis aktuala en la malfrua sovetia epoko, kiam teatroj surscenigis multajn klasikajn verkojn kiel aludoj al la stato de la tiama socio. Gogol mem, respondante riproĉojn de kritikistoj, ke en lia komedio estas neniu pozitiva rolulo, diris ke tia rolulo estas, sed oni ne rimarkis lin. Tio estas rido. Do, ridu pli ofte - kaj en la vivo estos pli da pozitivaĵoj.
Kaj koncerne la filmon mi povas diri, ke ĝi prezentas sin bonega, akurata kaj estimanta kinigo de la verko. Oni ekzakte transdonis etoson kaj humoron de la originalo, ĉiuj aktoroj plene kongruas siajn personojn. Igor Gorbaĉov brile ludas “registreton”, “ventkapulon” Ĥlestakov (li precipe sukcesas en la scenoj, kie lia heroo estas ebria 
). La urbestro (Jurij Tolubeev) estas esenco de rusia burokrato; ankaŭ hodiaŭ oni povas renkonti multajn tiajn urberstrojn en ĉiu ŝtata oficejo. Zemlanika, Bobĉinskij, la poŝtestro (granda aktoro Erast Garin) aspektas tiel, ke, ŝajne, ili ne povas esti aliaj. Unuvorte, la filmo estas inda por spekti, kaj ne unu fojon.
